Automotive Ethernet: As auto manufacturers (OEMS) push towards the development of Software Defined Vehicles, they are reaching the performance and capability limits of CAN and other traditional In-Vehicle Networks. Automotive Ethernet—an adaptation of the same Ethernet technology used in homes and offices—has emerged to replace these legacy networks, providing the high bandwidth, Quality of Service (QoS), and robust security required for autonomous driving, ADAS, and modern infotainment systems.
